Job Description:

Purpose: To provide security, maintenance assistance, and skilled efforts in guest rooms, public areas, food and beverage areas, kitchen, grounds, and facilities areas. Address functional and/or aesthetic issues and repair as needed.

Essential Functions:

¨ Accept direction from Engineering Manager to compile daily task lists. Review daily work orders and complete work by effectively prioritizing. Welcome any work order requests from Front Desk and Housekeeping.

¨ Obey proper operations of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, tile work, laundry, kitchen, refrigeration, lighting systems, and all specialized equipment, property upkeep, and compliance with city, state and /or federal code compliance.

¨ Ability to prep areas and apply interior paint, sanding, wallpaper application/repair as well as basic furniture and equipment repair.

¨ Ensure guestrooms are maintained to company standard. Complete quarterly preventative maintenance room inspections.

¨ Answer guest calls when housekeeping has left for the evening.

¨ Maintain inventories of necessary paints, supplies and chemicals to ensure items are in stock and available at the beginning of each shift.

¨ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

¨ Communicate shift details to Engineering Manager and Front Office.

¨ Ensure guest rooms, restaurants, and public areas are maintained to company standard.

¨ Maintain continuous communication with Front Office during all shifts to ensure all complaints are addressed.

¨ Work effectively with other maintenance personnel in a positive, professional manner.

¨ Support in Conference, Meeting and Event set-up, break-down, and overall pre and post event assistance. Take direction from F&B/Sales team as required.

¨ Play a leading role in Energy conservation.

¨ Assist Engineering Manager in regular preventive maintenance programs for all equipment.

¨ Have a thorough understanding of fire alarm procedures, emergency evacuation procedures and all safety related issues.

¨ Maintain safe and clear exterior walking areas (including shoveling snow, raking leaves, addressing debris, waste removal, etc.). Support Engineering Manager in all lawncare and exterior "curb appeal" maintenance. Work with all third-party clean-up crews.

Experience and Skills:

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

¨ Ability to remain standing for 8 hours (100% of shift).

¨ Ability to frequently move and lift up to 80 lbs.

¨ Ability to walk the property and grounds regularly.

¨ Ability to visibly survey property areas clearly.

¨ Ability to move up and down stairs frequently.

¨ Ability to climb and carry ladders.

¨ Ability to bend frequently and repetitively during a shift.

¨ Ability to use repetitive manual dexterity.

¨ Ability to work outside in extreme weather for up to 6 hours.

¨ Ability to move quickly based on guest needs.

¨ Ability to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information effectively.
