Laundry Attendant

The Greystone Inn, a charming getaway nestled in the heart of Lake Toxaway, NC, is seeking a motivated, diligent, and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to collaborate with our team!

The Greystone Inn is a historic lakeside resort located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Known for its exceptional hospitality, natural beauty, and personalized guest service, the inn offers a unique work environment where you will gain valuable hospitality experience while enjoying the outdoors and the charm of a small mountain community.

Job Summary: 

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens to meet department standards ensuring laundry is properly cleaned and stored.
• Press and/or steam items. Follow all safety guidelines of a machine press and steamer if/when available.
• Clean lint traps on a daily basis (or per property policy).
• Clean and inspect laundry carts. Stock carts and linen storage areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry room. Prioritize duties to meet the demands of the hotel. 
• Communicate with housekeeping supervisor upon completion of your duties to ensure results are in accordance with the standards and policies of the department.
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working order. Report malfunctions to maintenance and supervisor.
• Demonstrate team behavior and attitude of working together to accomplish tasks.  
• Adhere to all Safety and Security policies and procedures outlined by the housekeeping department and the company. 

Experience and Skills:

• 1 year cleaning experience preferred
• Neat and professional appearance
• Positive, team player attitude
• Self-motivated individual
• Ability to operate smoothly and professionally under high stress situations.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.
