Job Description:

Noble Kitchen and Bar at The Brunswick Hotel is actively searching for a creative, fast-paced, and professional Cook to join our team!

We are a full service, 5 day a week operation, open for dinner only. Restaurant is currently open 5 days per week, however banquets and functions may increase that schedule, based on demand and bookings.

The Brunswick Hotel, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, offers 52 upscale guest rooms and suites. Our restaurant, Noble Kitchen & Bar, was recently re-imagined and renovated in 2019, offering a chef-driven menu inspired by local, seasonal ingredients. Our indoor/outdoor bar, dining room, and brand new outdoor patio offer an inviting experience for locals and visitors any day of the week. We also host a number of banquet meetings and events in our private board room and event space.

Job Summary:

  • Learn and remain familiar with menu items and assume responsibility for all food rotation and proper timing of foods.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure that all items needed are in stock for the menu.
  • Coordinate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef for food preparation, presentation and proper service

procedures.

  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation, kitchen area, and walk in cooler/freezer.
  • Review prep list, check daily pars and maintain pars as necessary.
  • Prepare food of consistent quality by following recipe and production/portion standards, per check from servers.
  • Practice conscious knowledge of food allergies and all safety procedures

•Operate, maintain, and properly clean

  • Ability to train on any and All stations including: garnishes, Saute, Grill, Catering events, and Prep.

 

Experience and Skills:

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of recent Culinary experience in a high volume, full service restaurant.
  • Excellent Knife skills.
  • Must continuously demonstrate a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume days and times (i.e. town festivals).
